The Malamute an Arctic sled dog...Powerfully built, well toned muscular body, keenly alert...This big boned beauty is not a dog built for speed, but rather built for endurance and the long haul.
This beautiful dog has a luxurious double layered coat...the coarse guard coat atop a thick woolen undercoat will keep him warm in the most frigid temperatures.
Due to the wild history of the Malamute, and the fact that they probably posses a wolf gene or two there is a good chance they won't do well with smaller animals...unless raised with them. Animals outside the family pack though maybe not so much.
Not big on barking, but rather talking...whats not to love about that. Lucky is the owner that has one that howls.
